FURYK HELPS USA WIN PRESIDENTS CUP
Jim Furyk and Tiger Woods attended to some unfinished business when they won at the Royal Melbourne Golf Club, taking home the much coveted President’s Cup. The victory was made sweeter due to the fact that it was at the Royal Melbourne Golf Club where they lost the same tournament in the year 1998.
Tiger Woods was named as the captain of the American team and this was viewed with much doubt and criticism in the golfing world. But it was Jim Furyk who stole the show. He was the most important member of the team and contributed towards the American victory the most.

Everyone's favourite attacking golers is back! After winning his first tournament in over four years, Sergio Garcia has announced his return to the upper echelons of the game!
garcia has fallen out of love with golf in 2009, and struggled to put his game together. Since then progress has been steady.

GETTING FIT HELPS YOUR GOLF
Beth Daniel won 33 golf titles and is in the World Golf Hall of Fame. She was the 1990 Associated Press Female Athlete of the Year, and in 2003 became the oldest winner of an LPGA Tour event. Today, she keeps fit to maintain her performance in charity outings (such as Bethesda Hospital Foundation's Pro-Am recently in Lake Worth) and to be healthy in general.
Why do you keep fit?
PRACTICE YOUR PUTTING
Putting: I hear so many people’s ideas about putting that it wouldn’t leave me any space if I wrote them all down here. However, this one I rarely hear anyone talk about and it is essential that you do it. You must stand still as you putt. Believe it or not, a putter has about 5° of loft, which is there for a purpose. If your body moves, so many things can go wrong.
Remember: All the things you know about the long game, including long-iron shots and rescue clubs, make up only about 50% of the game. The other 50% is short game, including putting, and the mental side of golf.
DREAM: GIRL PLAYS WITH TIGER WOODS
A TEENAGE golfer has rubbed shoulders with the likes of Tiger Woods and Sergio Garcia thousands of miles away from home.
Amy Boulden, 17 from Llandudno returns from Dubai next week where she played alongside some of the golf world’s top names whilst also being a caddy.
The amateur golfer chatted to, and got tips from Tiger Woods and caddied for Abu Dhabi’s third richest man at the Omega Dubai Desert classic Pro Am tournament.
PRACTICE YOUR OVERSWING
Did you know that you can't make a change in your swing until you know what it feels like? As an instructor I can either show you on swing analysis software, verbally explain it or get you to feel it. I think the latter is by far the most advantageous for the student of golf.
Let's talk about over-swinging. I have seen a lot of golfers take a swing and a half when they’re swinging the golf club. Maybe trying to get more distance or it just really feels normal. The over-swing can cause a series of complications that can render the swing powerless and encourage a loss of direction.
